DIRCO / authenticationEmbassy legalisation

Full legalisation embassy legalisation

People using South African documents in a country that requires embassy or consulate attestation instead of an apostille.

Typical use
Employment, study, or family applications in non-Hague destinations, depending on that embassy’s rules.
Turnaround
Typically 2–6 weeks. Embassy diaries and prior DIRCO authentication drive the timeline.
Independence
AAA Docs lodges and collects on your instruction. We are not Home Affairs, SAPS, or DIRCO. Official issuing times remain theirs.

Process

  1. 1We confirm the destination is not covered by apostille and list that embassy’s steps.
  2. 2Documents are authenticated through the South African departments required first (often including DIRCO).
  3. 3We lodge at the relevant Pretoria embassy or consulate for final legalisation.
  4. 4We collect and courier the legalised set.
